If we DO NOT HAVE verb to be, we use the auxiliary: do or does 

 

Present Continuous:  

Sentences: pronoun + verb to be + verb -ing + complement. 

Question: Verb to be + pronoun + verb -ing * complement? 

 

 

Can 

Sentences: pronoun + can + verb. 

Questions: Can + pronoun + verb?
